“Well Window World called me last week and set the install up for yesterday.
I believe I was impressed enough to order more before winter. The installers were nice and seemed very knowlegable, did the job well. The new windows look great, the fit and finish is nice. They open and close smoothly and evenly. In fact, the 3 window units that were placed in my 2nd floor bay look like they were always meant to be there. With the exterior capping done and the storm windows gone, the front of the house looks much better. I can’t tell if they are going to preform well in the cold yet but if they seal out the cold as well as they have deadened the sound of cars on the street, I will be very pleased.
One thing I noticed is that they look like they are tinted slightly, I was told that was the low-e which is ok I’m just not used to that look yet.
I have noticed the tint is not noticeable by much but since I have a window in the room that is still original glass, its more noticeable than I think it would be to most homeowners that would see a whole house at once. I would have loved to do my entire house but can’t afford that, so I’m doing it as I can afford to do so, paying cash. Might take me 2 or 2.5 years to finish it but its better than not doing it or taking a loan.”
